Phi Factor Farm in Armstrong, BC required a purpose-built warehouse to support their innovative and sustainable approach to mushroom farming. Designed to meet the demands of a high-tech agricultural operation, the facility provides a controlled, durable, and efficient environment essential for consistent crop production. By aligning the building’s performance with Phi Factor Farm’s commitment to sustainability, the project delivers a strong foundation for growth while minimizing environmental impact and supporting long-term operational efficiency.
The warehouse is constructed using precast concrete wall panels manufactured by Black Walls, engineered by Allester Engineering to deliver strength, precision, and performance. These panels provide excellent thermal efficiency, durability, and airtightness, helping maintain stable interior conditions year-round. Precast construction also allowed for a streamlined installation process, reducing construction time while ensuring a high-quality finished product. The result is a robust, energy-efficient building envelope tailored to the unique needs of modern agricultural innovation.
