Located at 346 Campbell Avenue in Kamloops, The Confluence is an 80-unit affordable housing development designed to bring together families and seniors in a welcoming, inclusive community setting. The project is a partnership between ASK Wellness Society, BC Housing, and the City of Kamloops, and reflects a shared commitment to providing high-quality, affordable homes for residents with low to moderate incomes.
The Confluence features a thoughtful mix of 20 one-bedroom, 45 two-bedroom, and 15 three-bedroom homes, each complete with its own kitchen, bathroom, and private balcony. The name “The Confluence” was chosen to symbolize both the literal meeting of rivers in the region and the coming together of people, ideas, and cultures that define Kamloops. This spirit of connection is also a tribute to the Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc lands and rivers on which the project is built.
Allester Engineering is proud to have contributed structural design expertise to this important community development. Collaborating with Station One Architects and D and T Developments, a local, female-owned construction company, the project embodies innovation and collaboration in affordable housing design. Once complete, The Confluence will stand as a vibrant, durable, and community-minded addition to Kamloops, offering residents a safe, comfortable, and sustainable place to call home.
