This industrial project at a plywood manufacturing plant in Richmond, BC supported a major facility upgrade with the installation of a new baghouse system designed to filter large volumes of air and remove dust and airborne contaminants generated during plywood cutting and sanding operations. The upgrade enhances both operational efficiency and workplace safety within the plant.
Allester Engineering provided the structural design for the exterior equipment slab, incorporating cast-in-place embed plates at key anchorage locations to accommodate current requirements and allow flexibility for future equipment installations. The slab was engineered to perform as a durable, long-term platform capable of safely supporting the baghouse and its associated mechanical systems under demanding industrial conditions.
Construction for the project was completed by Apex Pneumatics Ltd., with close coordination to ensure the structural design aligned with installation sequencing and equipment requirements.
